Jess Jones

Born in Carmarthen, Jess Jones studied Photography at the Art College before leaving to study History of Art at Warwick University. She lived in London for many years, working as a Portrait and Fashion Photographer, where she exhibited her Flower Portraits. Jess currently lives and works in Llangadog.

This is her first exhibition since returning to Wales and she sees it as an ‘introduction’. She offers up a selection of her vivid floral pieces as well as some of her portraiture. Also showing are a few of her latest project, which are created for children. Loosely influenced by the fairy tale books of her ‘70s childhood, she raises the status of neglected toys and dolls by placing them in their own whimsical settings.
